Everyone is welcome in General Practice.

You do not need to proof of ID, address, immigration status or an NHS number in order to receive care or see a GP.

We now have a new telephone system in place, if you do not wish to stay on the line but want to keep your place in the queue, you can do so by requesting an automatic call back.

We would like to thank our patients who have been brilliant and adapted really well to the recent changes and apologise for any delay that may have been caused when contacting the Surgery by telephone, this has been a very difficult time for everybody and we appreciate your understanding during this time.

We are actively recalling patients on disease management registers to undertake their annual reviews. It is important that you attend these appointments so we can ensure we are providing you with high quality care and follow on management plans.

We have now got a separate telephone line to deal with these specific appointments 01302 986111, this line is available Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.

Gentle reminder: If you no longer require your booked appointment please be courteous and cancel so that another patient requiring medical help can utilise the appointment you no longer require.

Please, please only attend A&E if you have a medical emergency. This is not a service for minor presenting ailments.

Experienced Practice Nurse Vacancy

Due to the retirement of a long-standing practice nurse, we are looking to recruit a positive, enthusiastic, self- motivated individual to join ASA Medical Group. This is a busy and varied post and requires someone who has the desire to continue personal development. ASA Medical Group provides care to 21000 patients over 3 sites in Doncaster, Armthorpe, Intake (Sandringham) and Auckley practices. We have a positive and friendly team with a wide range of clinical and administrative skills.

The hours of work are 18-20 Hours per week. However, some flexibility is required to cover annual leave, staff absence or practice meetings.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Hold a full NMC registration

• Excellent interpersonal & time management skills

• Up to date NHS mandatory training

• Evidence of occupational health/immunisations

Duties of this role include:

· To support the practice team in the provision of high-quality care, achieving CQC standards and adhering to NHS contracts

· Undertake complex disease management reviews under the Quality and Outcomes framework, particularly respiratory (spirometry interpretation), diabetes, and smears.

· Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care.

· Promote the purchase of over-the-counter medications where appropriate.

· Provide support and mentorship to clinical colleagues undertaking PARE registration and mentorship training.

· Be the first line wound care assessor before referring the patient to other clinical colleagues for further wound care management.

· Deliver vaccination and immunisations to all patient cohorts, promoting public health strategies and achieving targets.

· Assess and treating patients for minor illness problems would be desirable.

· Rates of pay dependent upon experience and further training requirements.

· Uniform provided

· CQC rated good in all areas.
